Alberta Champions Society was founded in 2003 by Gordon Hoffman, driven by a simple but powerful idea: to recognize the individuals who shaped Calgary’s history.
Through this vision, the Fields of Fame were created to both preserve the legacy of these leaders and inspire future generations to build on their contributions.
The first Field of Fame is located at Jamieson Place, Plus 15 level of 308 – 4th Avenue SW (4th Ave & 2nd St SW).
Our second Field of Fame was unveiled in June 2011 in the Calgary Court Centre Park (since renamed Harley Hotchkiss Park) at 7th Ave. and 4th St. SW, right adjacent to the LRT plaform.
Field of Fame Three, originally located in the downtown Hyatt Regency’s lobby, in 2021 was relocated to Centrium Place, just one block north of the 3rd Street LRT Station, the Devonian Gardens, and The Core Shopping Centre. Drop by and visit Field of Fame Three’s new location!
Fourth Field of Fame is located at the NW corner of McDougall Centre, at 5th Avenue and 7th Street SW
The fifth Field of Fame will be at Heritage Park, 1900 Heritage Dr SW, at the north end of the parking promenade. There is no admission charge for the field of fame.
The sixth Field of Fame is located at Spruce Meadows, 18011 Spruce Meadows Way SW. The monuments was manufactured and installed at Spruce Meadows in May 2019.
The Seventh Field of Fame is located at the Bow Valley Ranche in Fish Creek Park, 15979 Bow Bottom Trail SE, Calgary, T2J 5E8. There is no admission charge for the field of fame. The location is beside the red bar (Friends of Fish Creek building) at the west side of the Bow Valley Ranche (Bow Bottom Trail) parking lot.
